Privacy Policy for Using the Moun Movies App

The "Moun Movies" application is operated under the following terms:

  • The app requires registration for access to certain features. During registration, the following data is processed. This data is stored on a web server provided by WEDOS s.r.o. and is used solely for the operation of the application. It is not further processed or shared with third parties.
    • Username (public when rating and in movie lists)
    • Email address (used only for login and user verification)
    • Password (used only for login and user verification)
    • Country (used to display streaming services, dubs, and discs based on location)
    • Language (used to display the user interface and to translate titles and images)
    • Currency (used to autofill currency when saving discs to personal collection and displaying e-shop prices)
  • The app requires access to the camera for the following purposes:
    • To scan barcodes. These captured images are not transmitted over the internet or stored elsewhere.
    • To take photos of movie discs and collections. These images are stored on a web server provided by WEDOS s.r.o. and are then displayed to other users of the app.
  • The app allows users to add new movie releases to the database, which are stored on servers operated by WEDOS s.r.o.
  • The app sends diagnostic data to Google's servers to assist in identifying and resolving issues. This data may include:
    • App version
    • OS version
    • Device brand
    • Device language
    • Country
    • Developer diagnostic info
  • All data is encrypted during transmission between the app and the server.
By installing the application on their mobile device and using it, the user agrees to the above terms. If these terms are violated, data may be deleted, access may be blocked, or the user account may be removed.

User Account Deletion

The app allows users to delete their account including their user data (excluding general data about movie discs, uploaded images, and ratings of movies/series). To delete your account, go to the app and navigate to the user account settings.

Terms of Use for the Moun Movies App

  • The user agrees to use the app solely for the purpose it was created for:
    • Browsing the movie and TV series database
    • Browsing the physical disc database
    • Rating movies and TV series
    • Adding discs to their personal collection
    • Creating movie, series, and disc lists
    • Sharing movies, series, discs, and lists with friends
  • The user is responsible for the accuracy of the submitted data.
  • It is prohibited to:
    • Submit any data unrelated to movies, series, or discs.
    • Submit offensive, vulgar, or inappropriate language or images.
    • Submit data that violates the law.
    • Submit data that is insulting or harmful to others.
By installing and using the application, the user agrees to the above terms. Violating these terms may result in data removal, access restriction, or account deletion.

Origin and Responsibility for Data

The Moun Movies app displays data from various sources, which are divided as follows:

  • Movies, series, actors: This data is automatically retrieved via the publicly accessible API of The Movie Database (TMDB), and is provided under the terms of this service. Moun Movies is not responsible for its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
  • Discs (DVD, Blu-ray, UHD, etc.): Physical media information comes from distributors or users themselves. These data providers are solely responsible for the content.
  • Comments and ratings: These are created by users, and Moun Movies is not responsible for their truthfulness or legal compliance.
  • Where to watch: Information about the availability of movies and series on streaming platforms is automatically retrieved via the publicly accessible API of JustWatch and is subject to the terms of that service. Moun Movies is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. See JustWatch Terms of Use.

Moun Movies assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of the data. Data is retrieved from TMDB, distributors, JustWatch, and app users. Some data may be subject to copyright and may not be redistributed.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, and brand names are the property of their respective owners. Their use within the Moun Movies app is solely for informational and identification purposes and does not imply any endorsement or affiliation.

The app does not host or distribute any copyrighted content (movies, episodes, etc.). If you believe your rights have been violated, please contact us and we will promptly address the issue.

The operator of Moun Movies does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the data and services offered by the app. Use of the app is at your own risk.

Points system "Mouns"

The application includes a points system that rewards active users of the application and makes new functions available to them. The point system is similar to a level in computer games. You earn points and at a certain number of points a new feature becomes available.

Actions for which you can earn points:
  • 0.1 points: Rating of the film/TV series (without text) - max 0.5 points per day (not for imported ratings)
  • 1 point: Rating of the film/TV series (with text - it must be meaningful and according to the rules) (not for imported ratings)
  • 1 point: New added and verified disc (not for imported data)
  • 10 points: Android app text rating in Google Play Store
    • After rate, go to app, open profile and click to PLUS near the point count. Select "App rated" and put your name on rating. The points will be added to your account after check.
  • 10 points: Become a fan of the Moun Movies on social networks (Instagram/Facebook)
    • After rate, go to app, open profile and click to PLUS near the point count. Select "Following Facebook" nebo "Following Instagram" and put your nick of the selected social network. The points will be added to your account after check.
    • Write us a message on the selected social network with your nickname in the application, points will be credited to you within 7 days
    • Points will be credited for each social network
  • 50 points: For partners - release companies and e-shopy (ask by e-mail)
  • X points: Help with translation (More... - for range and count of points - contact us)
Rewards:
  • Different stat levels: from 50 points
  • Notifications: from 50 points
  • Second hand
    • Display of second hand lists is unlimited
    • More features of the second hand are planned
  • Display of e-shops with prices for individual disks
    • Now it is unlimited (from 11.4.2025)
